What are people even "playing" on their switches? (2024)

I still have an absolute ton to catch up on.

>Wrapped up Xenoblade 3 after putting like 125 hours into it. Still need to play all 3 of the Xenoblade DLCs.
>Beat Luigi's Mansion 2 like a week or so ago.
>Started Paper Mario: TTYD but need to get back to it (Already beat the GCN version years ago)
>Have not even started Super Mario RPG on it.
>Still have Return to Dreamland to finish along with Pokemon Legends Arceus.
>Wrapping up a few side games before I finish Tears of the Kingdom after taking a break from it.
>Want to eventually start up the Pikmin games on it as well.

And thats just the stuff I am thinking of, there is a bunch of other games I need to get around to on it when I actually have time.

just finished it a few hours ago, final boss was tough, it was the first fight in the game where i had to plan out stuff

>Metroid Prime
Finished it last week, amazing design, graphics, combat, it's great

>Rockman X
Played it for the first time and finished it the week i finished M:P, great game, replayed the level when i lost with save states. There was no chance i was going to beat it with passwords

>Streets Of Rage 4
Amazing game, loved the music and the unlockable "skins" for axel and adam. The background of the train level was pure kino

>UNICORN OVERLORD
The best rpg of the year so far. Loved how this game was pure gameplay and team-building. Didnt want it to end.

>Soul Calibur (dreamcast)
My switch is hacked so i play whatever the frick i want. Played the story mode several times to unlock characters

Cool game, scarecrow secquences were amazing, but the final boss is a disappointment. Someday i'll play arkham city.

That was it for this year, so far. The last 2 months of 2023 was super mario rpg remake, before that Star Ocean Second Story R and even before that Mario wonder.

how come all of these daily or hourly switch seethe threads use mario odyssey era bait at the absolute latest and ignore the better part of a decade that's taken place since

I got a switch recently just to play exclusive online games, games that have denuvo/intrusive anticheat on pc or games that don't emulate well.

I might get monster hunter rise soon and mario maker 2. I don't even know what else.

Smash Ultimate, and I just finished getting all the spirits that aren't fighter spirits I don't own, including the newer ones added after Evil Ryu. I got a good chunk of the way through Ni No Kuni and paused it, I still got to go back to it. Also gotta go back to Hyrule Warriors: DE, but I usually play that game for awhile and then put it on hold to go play different games. I mostly play on Steam though, this is mostly for when I want to play something while laying in bed.

I'm playing Tales of Vesperia right now. Before that I played Mario vs Donkey Kong, and before that I played Unicorn Overlord.
I have TTYD and Mario RPG as well but haven't booted them up yet. Before Unicorn Overlord came out I played through Quake 1, 2, and 2-64. And before that I played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.
Lots of games to play but Nintendo haven't made any great exclusive new games for quite a while.

My switch is used exclusively for Xenoblade games.

I lobe my Switch OLED so much. It's my favorite video game system of all time. I'm currently playing Metroid Prime Remastered. It's sooooooo good.

The juggernaut success of the Nintendo Switch is the biggest prolonged nonstop assfricking this board has ever endured.

The Switch will go down in history as the best gaming system of all time. It's library of games is so good only the SNES comes close.

It has cultivated a legacy which will see the system fondly remembered for decades to come. Do you think anyone is going to feel nostalgic about PS5 in 20 years?

The hybrid nature+easy hacking makes it a godsend for lots of genre, but mostly JRPG

Playing Atelier Marie remake now, cute and comfy

im kinda living in a country, that gets kinda bombed every day. so we doesn't have electricity lots of time, so lotf of time im playing on switch, and this is totally okay.

i like this stuff like, sitting in darkened room, in darkened city, playing some Hollow Knight, where all location are some dark caves. SMT VV, Unicorn Overlord, some roguelike games like hades, brotato, dead cells. Switch is good.
