It has been so good that Im even considering reading the original Fate series (Im aware that many modern stuff is going to be missing) but when searching online people talk about the sex scenes in the original Tsukihime and Fate like it is the plage: avoid it at all cost and get the censored version.
Im always against censorship, and also can see a naked women without going bananas, but it got me worring: are those scenes really THAT bad? To the point fans suggest you watch/read a censored/cutted version?
Now, most of those post came from Retarddit so, this might be a stupid question
PS: Before everyone suggest, the remake of Fate is totally not available on my country. No Switch or Steam version are available, so i was thinking in trying the OG one that was a lutris build available for linux/steam deck

No idea about Tsukihime, but as for Fate, more than the removal of H scenes, it's the addition of content (complete dubbing, new CGs/soundtracks/epilogue, ...) that makes the fans push it... but yeah, Nasu has a very weird mean to describe the H scenes, and it's often more funny than erotic.
You'll most probably play it with a pirated copy and the Ultimate patches, which makes everything accessible, anyway.

Tsukihime has multiple stuff that is impossible to release on consoles.
-drugging the Mc
-grape (in multiple routes)
-incest
Ect
The best way to consume it is uncensored imo

There is no censored version of the original Tsukihime. If you're playing the original, you'll see sex scenes.

The scenes in the Fate and Unlimited Blade Works routes are definitely jarring, and their removal isn't exactly censoring some profound artistic statement
Heaven's Feel loses some of its impact when it's PG-13 though, especially since that route gets more than just the sex scenes swapped out
Ultimately, the scenes aren't so bad that they will tarnish the entire rest of the story so feel free to read that version if you wanna

I tried going through Tsukihime before. Found it too slow paced in storytelling like it took forever to get to anything happening at all and the art wasnt very good and I found the music a bit annoying sometimes. I didnt get up to the points you described for this reason. Not saying it is bad just i wasnt really into it like i hoped and just didnt feel like going on more since i felt so bored.

But I mean personally I'm more for the story and romance elements, I'm not a eroge or ecchi guy so I'm happy with a censored version XD. The girls look cute enough all dressed in the adorable outfits.

I havent played the Original but if is it like the Remake, then the start is really kind of slow. It takes a couple of hour until it shifts to seconds gear

@KenaiPhoenix Ah, I had heard they were a little cringe or something to that effect. But again, there's the aspect that the fan translation is a little dodgy. I do hope they keep some of the good lines in it tho, like;
"I guess the Archer class is really made up of Archers"

And

So I haven't watched the anime. Does it have those lines too? How did the official translations handle them?

@Lucifrost well those are from the anime, some in sub some were in the dubs. Don't think they are one for one but the gist of the lines are preserved.
