Does the EverChar Torch last forever? ›

A torch made from EverChar Charcoal. Infinitely reusable as long as you maintain it.

The EverChar Torch is a Tier II lighting tool that provides an infinite amount of light as long as you continue to repair it and ensure it doesn't break completely. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as collecting an EverChar Coal Chunk, some Tough Gunk, Green Shield Bug Parts, and some Lint Rope.

Location. EverChar Coal Chunks are a resource found exclusively in the BBQ Spill biome. They are primarily used in crafting the Charcoal Canteen, EverChar Torch, the Spicy Coaltana, and the Oven. EverChar Coal Chunks can also be ground into Charcoal Ash with a Grinder.

Once lit, the torch should last at least 20 minutes, and could burn as long as an hour. A birch wick may only burn for about 15 minutes. Don't burn your torch in dry, heavily wooded areas, as you could set the surrounding wood on fire.

The oxidizer is the oxygen in the surrounding atmosphere. These two ingredients can sustain a candle flame. In the case of an underwater torch, both the combustible substance and the oxidizer must be supplied by hoses leading down to the torch, since no free oxygen is available underwater.

The Slime Lantern is an underwater lighting tool that provides a source of light when exploring underwater. It requires collecting Slime Mold Stalks, Eelgrass Strands, and Lilypad Wax in order to craft. A lantern made from hydrophobic materials and slime mold. Useful for exploring the murky depths.

Torches were usually constructed of a wooden stave with one end wrapped in a material which was soaked in a flammable substance. In the United States, black bear bones may have been used. Modern procession torches are made from coarse hessian rolled into a tube and soaked in wax.

The short answer is that anthracite coal will be legal to burn and readily available for a long time to come.

Once harvested charcoal take 5 in-game days to respawn.

Wearing a full set of Antlion Armor will reduce the sizzling a little, but it is still deadly. Wearing the armor and eating a Quesadillantlion will reduce it to a safer level to gather the EverChar Coal Chunks.

The Slime Mold Torch is a light tool usable underwater and on land. It can be used up to 1 minute before burning out. It can also work underwater shortly, like the Slime Lantern.

It requires a Workbench to craft and requires defeating a Mantis to claim some of its parts, as well as collecting some Pupa Leather, Rust, and Lint Rope. Description: A deadly, nimble scythe crafted from mantis chunks and a mantis claw of a fallen assassin.

Torches will never burn out--they last forever. Torches can be attached to most solid surfaces by right-clicking on said surface with a torch equipped.

The average torch will burn for about 20 minutes. Now you are ready to explore! Or have a luau, or whatever. Just be careful with the fire, and be prepared to put it out at a moment's notice, in case of trouble.

Torch Stats

This torch will stay lit once ignited, but if you put it away, the flame will be extinguished until you light it again.

The assembly is dipped into wax or pitch, long enough to soak the wick. These fuels are flamable but not volatile, so it doesn't all burn at once. Like a candle, a properly made torch can burn an hour or even a few hours, much longer than a spooky scene in a movie requires.
