New Student Registration
New student registration (studentsnot enrolled in an MISD school on the last day of the prior school year) can be done completely online. To enroll your child, you will need the following documents:
- Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification
- Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted).
- Student’s Social Security Card
- Student’s Shot Record (must show child's name)
- Student’s Certified Birth Certificate (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov [Español])
- If applicable, withdrawal papers and records from last school attended.
Which School Will My Child Attend and What Bus Services Are Available?
In order to attend an MISD school, the student must reside within Mansfield ISD. The Find My Bus system helps determine the school a student is eligible to attend and the available bus stops. If you need assistance in finding which campus your child is zoned to attend and/or what bus services are available, you may use the Find My Bus System or call the Department of Transportation (817) 299-6060.
Returning Student Registration
Returning student registration can be completed online starting Wednesday, July 19.An email will be sent to current families when enrollment officially opens.
All students who attended MISD in the 2024-25school year are highly encouraged to complete online returning student registration and provide proof of residency prior to schedule pickup. If any additional documents are required to fulfill enrollment, the campus will notify you.
Be sure to select the “returning student registration” button once you are logged into Family Access.

Bell Schedules

Cell Phone Guidelines
Mansfield ISD hasimplemented anew guidelinelimiting student use of cell phones and other personal electronic communication devices in schools. The new guidelines are designed to limit distractions and learning disruptions. District Communications
As the school year begins, all parents and guardians will be opted back into MISD’s email and text messaging system so they can receive the most current information from the district. Anyone who wants to opt out of the service can do so at any time. To learn more about updating your preferences, visit Skyward Family Access.
Immunizations
Immunization Requirements
All students entering Texas schools shall show acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas. View the 2024-25immunization requirements chart.
Back-to-School Immunization Clinics
Passport Health/Staying Healthy Medical Services will conduct three back-to-school vaccination clinics for required immunizations on:
- Tuesday July 23rd I12pm-7pm. ( English I Spanish )
- Saturday August 3rd I 7:30am-1pm( English I Spanish )(during the Back-to School Bash)
- Tuesday August 13thI 12pm-7pm ( English I Spanish )
All clinics will be held at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, Texas 76063). Students attending or registering to attend MISD are welcome. A current vaccine record or note from school stating missing vaccines is required. For more information about insurances accepted and vaccinations being offered, please download the flyer.
NOTE: Vaccinations will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out. For more information about insurances accepted and vaccinations being offered, please download the aforementioned flyer or contact the MISD Health Services Department at 817-299-6370.
If you are unable to attend the clinics offered by Mansfield ISD, Immunization Collaboration of Tarrant County (ICTC) also conducts immunization events throughout the month of August. For specific dates and locations, view the ICTC calendar.
Sales Tax Holiday
The Sales Tax Holiday (Tax-Free Weekend) will be held on August9 - 11, 2024.
As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
To promote social distancing, the Texas Comptroller’s office wants all taxpayers to know that during the Tax-Free Weekend, you can also buy qualifying items online or by telephone, mail, custom order or any other means (including in-store purchases) tax free.
Schedule Pickups / Class List Postings
Mansfield ISD requires all students to provide proof of residency each school year. Please be prepared to provide proof of residency in order to obtain schedules or view class list postings.

School Supply Lists
MISD schools have their own school supply lists. Please check with your school before making any purchases.
In some instances, schools also sell pre-packaged supplies that can be purchased online and delivered directly to the school before school starts. All school supply information can be found on the campuswebsite under News & Announcements.
Student Devices
Devices are issued to students through an annual distribution schedule directed by the MISD Technology Department.

Student Handbooks
The Mansfield ISD Student Handbook is designed to provide basic information that you and your child will need during the school year. The handbook is divided into two sections:
- Section I: Parental Rights - This section offers information to assist you in responding to school-related issues.
- Section II: Other Important Information for Students and Parents - This section is organized alphabetically by topic, and, where possible, further divided applicable to age and/or grade level, for quick access when searching for information on a specific issue.

Student Dress Code

Transportation
When school starts Aug. 14, allelementary school, intermediate school and special education studentswho receive bus transportation to and from school will have a SMART tag badge they will scan when getting on and off an MISD school bus.The SMART Tag technology keeps track of which students are on a particular bus, when they board, when they exit and where. The system will also alert the driver if a student gets off at the wrong stop. Families are kept in the loop through an app that shows the bus location and sends alerts indicating when and where a student boarded and exited the bus. In the event of a delay or accident, families will be notified through the app.
